Denese Joyner, 2nd Vice President

I was born and raised in South Jamaica, Queens. I started volunteering in the community at seven as a Girl Scout youth in the church, and I am still serving the community. I am a proud mother of two.

As a single mother of three wonderful children, and entrepreneur, Denese Joyner thrives in realms of community advocacy, resourcefulness and ingenuity. With a cum laude degree in business Marketing from Howard University, and 20 years business experience, Denese works as an Associate Broker with one of the largest real estate firms in New York City.

Denese is a former music teacher, pianist, bassist, an urban missionary, and pastor in service to her local community and beyond. She holds degrees with honors in Marketing (BBA), Jazz Piano (BFA) and a Masters of Divinity (MDiv) from Alliance Theological Seminary.

Migrating from Jamaica, WI to Queens NY at a young age, she is keenly aware of the challenges faced my immigrants, minority classes, and low income earners. With a commitment to service, Denese Joyner’s personal mission is to provide hope, healing and a hand up to decrease despondency, while increasing affluence within her spheres of influence.
