Mejbah Ahmed, Member

Mejbah Ahmed is proud New Yorker born in Bangladesh graduated with an MBA from Cyprus Institute of Marketing, Cyprus and then completed second graduate degree on Data Science from University of Texas at Austin. Currently he is employed as a Software Engineer in one of the nation’s largest banks. Beside being a full time Information technology professional his passion is to contribute to the local community toward creating a generation that will make the world a better place for the generation to come. As Nobel laureate professor Mohammed Yunus said, ‘we need to create a world of three zero’s, zero poverty, zero unemployment and zero net carbon emission’.  In the light of that inspiration Mr. Ahmed always eager to partner with local communities on their needs and challenge. Being an active member of ‘Community Service commission’ at the City of Richfield, Minnesota is an example of his continuous efforts.

As a proud parent of New York City’s public school’s student, he always partners with his local school on ways to improve and have more robust education system that will challenge students every single day. To take his effort beyond the school, he decided to join this Community District Education Council 29Q. Promoting STEM education, practical & updated education curriculum, enhancing parent-teacher partnership, adequate training for teachers are some crucial ways to prepare our children for tomorrow’s challenge, to his opinion.
